Crispy air-fried chicken tenders coated in Spiceology buffalo seasoning and whole wheat panko — all the flavor, none of the guilt. Serve in a whole wheat pita with super blend slaw.

Instructions

  1. 1

Cut chicken breasts into tender or nugget-sized pieces. Pat dry with paper towels.

  2. 2

Season chicken pieces with 2 tablespoons of Spiceology Buffalo Chicken Seasoning. Toss to coat evenly.

  3. 3

In a shallow bowl, whisk together the whole egg and 2 egg whites.

  4. 4

In a separate shallow bowl, combine whole wheat bread crumbs, panko, and 2 tablespoons of Spiceology Buffalo Chicken Seasoning. Mix well.

  5. 5

Dip each piece of chicken into the egg mixture, then press into the breading mixture to coat both sides.

  6. 6

Spray both sides of the breaded chicken with cooking spray.

  7. 7

Preheat air fryer to 390°F. Place chicken in a single layer in the basket.

  8. 8

Air fry for 12–16 minutes, turning after 6 minutes, until golden and crispy.

  9. 9

Use a meat thermometer to confirm internal temperature has reached 165°F.

  10. 10

Remove from air fryer, place on a plate, and tent loosely with foil for 2–3 minutes.

  11. 11

Serve in a toasted whole wheat pita with super blend slaw, or in a wrap.

Meredith's Tip

Spiceology Buffalo Chicken Seasoning does the heavy lifting here — no bottled hot sauce needed. Look for it online or at specialty spice shops.
